We have taken great care in rendering our period fireplaces.  Each one
is inspired by a historic home or room chosen for its fine proportion
and how it characterized a particular period.
The original design is carved in the one-inch to one-foot scale and then
reproduced in a Hydrocal Cement.  This is not plaster-of-paris but a
mat
erial of greater strength, density, and hardness.
Always use caution if sanding, carving, or drilling of this product is
desired.  Acrylic paints or latex stains should be used exclusively.
DO NOT USE OIL BASE PRODUCTS!  This product can be finished in a variety
of ways, such as to imitate wood, marble, antiquing, or whatever your needs
require.
We think these pieces will make a handsome addition to any miniature house
or room setting.
