    Description

    Kittinger Furniture Fireplace Screen. Condition is "Used". Fire screens were used to shield a sitter’s face from exposure to the heat of an open fireplace. This handsome rococo mahogany fire screens is reproduced from an original made in England by Kittinger Company, circa 1760. The height is 48 inches and the panel is 17 3/4 square. This is an approved Williamsburg reproduction of an antique that now is in the George Wythe House in Colonial Williamsburg. A charming and decorative period piece.
