    Description

    The ferrule is stamped with the Stanley notched logo used from 1936 and up. It has " No. 25 Made In U.S.A. PAT. 1839835 ". This patent was applied for in 1931 and granted Jan. 5th 1932. It was for attaching the blade to the handle with the improved bolster. These were on the #25,45,55 and #1022 screwdrivers. I found the same screwdriver #25 in a 1934 Stanley Tool Catalogue. Not sure how long they were produced before being replaced with 3 digit model numbers, but it appears this a post WW 2 screwdriver. It is 14 3/8 inches long overall. The tip down to the top of the wood handle measures just under 9 3/8 inches. The handle is stamped " STANLEY TL-105 ".
