OnePlus 13 launching in India in January 2025: Specs, expected price and everything we know so far

OnePlus has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated OnePlus 13 will launch globally and in India in January 2025. The device was launched in China last month, bringing significant upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. While the company has not revealed the exact global launch date, the OnePlus 13 launch in China gives us a fair idea of what the global variant will offer.
In China, the OnePlus 13 was launched at 4,999 Yuan (around Rs 57,000) for the base model. In India, the device is expected to be priced slightly higher due to import taxes and other costs. To recap, the OnePlus 12 was launched in India for Rs 64,999, and the OnePlus 13 is speculated to be priced under Rs 70,000. While the exact pricing remains under wraps, the flagship from OnePlus will compete with other premium devices like the iPhone 16, Oppo Find X8 series, Realme GT 7 Pro, and others.
In China, the OnePlus 13 comes with significant upgrades to display, battery, camera, processor, and more.
Display: The OnePlus 13 sports a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, the same size as the OnePlus 12 but with added enhancements. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers exceptional brightness, with up to 1,600 nits in regular mode and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Notably, this year’s display includes glove usability, making it practical for colder regions, and a local high refresh rate feature, allowing dynamic adjustment of refresh rates for optimal performance and power efficiency.
Performance: Powering the OnePlus 13 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI applications. This chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for faster data processing and seamless performance.
Battery and charging: One of the most significant upgrades is the battery. The OnePlus 13 features a massive 6,000mAh battery, a notable jump from the 5,400mAh unit in the OnePlus 12. OnePlus claims this larger battery can last nearly two days on a single charge. The device supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, it introduces magnetic wireless charging via specially designed cases, a first for OnePlus.
Cameras: The camera system on the OnePlus 13 has also seen notable upgrades. The primary 50-megapixel LYT-808 sensor from the OnePlus 12 has been refined. The telephoto and ultrawide cameras are now upgraded to 50 megapixels each, making the OnePlus 13 one of the few smartphones with an all-50 megapixel rear camera setup. Its continued partnership with Hasselblad ensures advanced colour accuracy and processing. The device also supports 4K/60fps Dolby Vision video recording for high-quality video capture.
Build and security: The OnePlus 13 is IP68 and IP69-rated, offering resistance against water and dust, including high-pressure water jets. It also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, providing more accurate and faster unlocking, even with wet hands.
Additionally, to enhance the user experience, OnePlus has also added a new vibration motor optimised for gaming and haptic feedback. Globally, the phone will be shipped with Android 15 out of the box, featuring OnePlus’ OxygenOS skin bringing a clean UI experience with customisation options and AI features.
